Since EZBoard has decided to terminate their trial 'free' Gold-with-text-ads program, we have (again) lost our ability to sticky threads. As a result, I am collecting the board-general and forum-specific Rules and Guidelines here in one place, so it can be easily linked to.
All Forums
General Rules
1. Start topics in the appropriate forums.
2. Keep topics generally on the same subject they were started with. Exception: Blast Furnace![<img src=]()

3. Real-life private information other than your own is not to be posted without clear and verifiable prior permission. If someone has already posted their own info, obviously that information is permissable and subject to discussion.
4. Threats of bodily, character, or otherwise outside of game harm will be reported immediately to EZBoard, with immediate account suspension pending review and/or instructions from EZBoard management. Threads subject to this rule will be moved to the private Moderator area of the board for storage pending removal of offending posts, thread restoration, or deletion.
5. Advertisements other than what is normally allowed in our Marketplace will be summarily ridiculed and/or deleted. Exception: Signature artists for Everquest, which there is periodically still a demand for.
6. Thread bumping of old topics for specific reasons is usually allowed, such as linking to old topics in a post for informational purposes. Bumping of several threads in a short period of time by any one person may result in a suspension and/or a ban, at the Administrator's discretion. Adding to post counts at the end of dead threads is an example of this.
Guild Recruiting Threads
When guilds post a thread with the intent to notify the board/server population that they are recruiting, the following guidelines are to be followed:
1. Guild recruiting threads should be posted in the Recruiting forum.
2. Keep the thread focused on-topic. If you have questions or concerns directed at the thread starter or the guild in general, feel free to ask them, visit their website, or email them directly if that option is given.
3. Intentional trolling or flame-baiting on these types of threads will result in no less than a week's ban from this board. We have a flame forum for this type of posting, and most everyone already knows it.
4. Repeated offenses will result in a permanent ban; consider it the "three strikes and your out" clause.
5. Guilds outside of Saryrn, or for other games, are discouraged from posting recruiting threads in our community. Guilds on Saryrn wishing to recruit for a move or a new branch in another game are acceptable, as long as said Guild is still a part of our community.
Please show some respect for a guild's desire to recruit and conduct recruiting activities without undue interference or derailment.

1. If it's against the Everquest EULA, don't do it or advertise it here or on any of our Tavern forums. This includes but is not limited to: character ownsership transfers, anything involving real-world money. Repeated postings of such may result in a ban.
