Still bitter after all these years, Sirvig? I never really understood your hatred for me, not that I ever made that much effort to try. Of course, I, like many others, held you in some scorn, however I never really expressed it to any extent. The first time I knew you had some real problem with me was when you left seconds after I was promoted to officer.
I wouldn't bother responding, save that you seemingly had the need to make some unprovoked, erroneous statements regarding my personal life, to which I respond that you have no idea concerning the associations about which you're talking, or you're intentionally spouting falsehoods - either explanation would be perfectly in character for you.
It would be rude to conclude without addressing Meatdoh, so I'll simply say I'm glad he remains one of the few individuals possessing his sort of intellectual handicap to not yet win the honor of a Darwin Award. Perhaps some of us on WoW who knew him will "brainwash" together on why that is.

jeez I was just kidding around, I guess I should've put JK sab in bold letters on the last post. How is mocking your EQ character attacking your personal
life? I dont have any hatred toward you, on the contrary, I always thought you were a good player. I dont think their's anyone I truly "hated" in
eq, maybe armad. Although it seems nand has some hidden animosity towards me, dont worry nand I dont share the sentiment. Although Im sure there are quite a
few people that would consider it a victory for me if I was the one that made you quit eq. Personally, I always thought you quit because twc never offered you
an advancement oppurtunity. In retrospect however, I think we might've made a semi-mistake there, you probably would've made a decent officer.
Sab you quit the guild a month or 2 after you got promoted as well. And just so you know, acting like I did and detagging when you got promoted is probably the biggest thing I regret ever doing in all the years I've played eq. |

Nand and Sabe are both officers in WoW TWC. Without Nand I doubt we'd be a successful raiding guild. He shows levels of patience, tact, and leadership that
would probably surprise most of you. Sabe steps up and runs alternate raids during our off-times. They both offer reasoned input on guild activities and
membership issues. Sabe stepped away from the game for several months asking to be demoted while he was gone and then came back. I promoted him again shortly
afterwards. One of the things we all found we valued most about TWC-EQ was the fact you were allowed to keep your tag even when you needed a break for real
life activities. Several other members have served as officers for a period of time and returned to member ranks. While they were officers they've each
made impacts that helped us to progress in the game and helped to guide our guild membership into being a close-knit family. As Nand has said in other threads
it's the people you get to play a game with that make it fun. I hope we can continue to have a TWC guild in whatever game the future brings. With any luck
I'll be chatting with the people I've met through games even as they check me in to a nursing home ... and that's a lot closer for me than it
probably is for any of you.
 Anyway, sorry for interrupting what's become a real sport-fuck of a thread ... carry on. - brkat (tumulus in WoW)

six months and a year. And for the record, my decision to leave is the biggest thing I regret in my time playing EQ.

I enjoyed being in TWC in EQ up until the final 2-4 months before I left to be in Sanctus. Many factors were in that, but generally, it boiled down to unhappiness. My inability to make the new recruits fit into our mold, because we weren't a friendly guild to one another. Drama that ensued with that, unhappiness of some of the members about farming certain content, and as to why we weren't doing X instead of Y. And then finally, older/mia members coming back who weren't exceptionally good at much of anything except complaining.(not naming names) It just boiled down to me playing over 80 hours a week, and having part time members/new members/mia members who showed no appreciation or gratitude as to what the officers had been building the guild up to thus far. It was all about what we were doing wrong, and why weren't we doing what they wanted, because they had points to spend. |
